Nyack, New York (June 21, 2010) – There were no father’s day gifts for the Celtic Racing Fast By Ferracci squad.

The team was participating in the Barber Superbike Classic, held June 17-19 in Birmingham, Alabama, and at the world famous Barber Motorsports Park. The weekend started out well, with Jacobsen scoring second place qualifying time, and showing the competition that he was a force to be reckoned with.

“It was a tough weekend for sure, but in racing, you get the bad with the good. The good for us was that we were on the pace for the lead. In fact, we qualify in the second spot by only 4/100’s of a second, so we had the speed to be there. We just had some bad luck in the races. On Sunday, the weather change, and it got real hot. This affected the front end, and we had a set up problem that resulted in a crash. PJ, he did the best he could with the set up he had. It was just rough on him. But now we focus on Mid Ohio and hope to get a win” said Eraldo Ferracci, the teams technical director, and a veteran of the paddock.

The teams backup rider, Brad Graham, who races in the Motorcycle-SuperStore SuperSport division was looking to build on his momentum from the previous Road America event. Graham had an up and down weekend, with a respectable qualifying time, and a 14th place finish in Saturday’s race. On Sundays race, Graham suffered a mechanical and was not able to finish the event.

The Celtic Racing Fast By Ferracci crew will return to the Ferracci race shop and has a few weeks to prepare for the next event of the season, which is being held at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington Ohio.
